when I actually, honestly, cannot lie to myself anymore, I realized I'd gained more, over 30kg to be more exact. I might have hit 40kg but I would never knew because I stopped weighing myself when I reached 98.5kg and I still let it ride higher.
With many deliberately ignored failures collectively have had resulting from having bad health aka being overweight aka too fat, my last straw was that one morning when I was getting ready to go to work, I found myself struggling just to tie my shoes. Slip-on ones would have been nicer! Anyway, I could not bend over, even from sitting, to tie the shoes. But instead, I had to lift my feet up on my knees to successfully do that. I might have had done that countless times but somehow in that morning, it just hit me hard and it was the worst feeling!
With that shocking horror story, I immediately accepted the long overdue invitation from my friends, Nathan and Nont, to join them on a trial session at NewMoves. The first class went as expected - a completely embarrassing fail. I dropped out after half of the class, was seriously close to passing out. I then had to accept the fact that I was in a very bad place and worse, really bad shape and I knew exactly what to do. The very next time I was at NM, I purchased a package of 50 classes right away.
10 months later and approx. 25kg down, with a lot better health, I can proudly say that NM has been a major factor in my success. I know and we all know that diet plays a big part in losing weight, but I have to say that it all started with NM.
Having Logan as my personal trainer and working closely with him has been a huge help for me. He guides, teaches, and helps in shaping my mentality about eating clean, doing the right workout and many more things that has brought me to who I am today. Of course I have had a few struggles along the way where I didn't see any improvement - to me as losing weight even though he keeps saying not to look at that too seriously. Logan knew what I would need to do. He constantly changes my workouts so that my body doesn't get too comfortable and used to the same things. He knows exactly what to do and when to push me to the next level. Most importantly, we talk a lot about nutrition - what I should and shouldn't consume. Logan suggests sample meals which I can easily prepare on my own; I usually didn't cook. He also creates workout plans for me when I have to be away for work. I know all of this would have never happened if that day I didn't force myself to go to NewMoves.

Theses trainers have something different. After 3 different gym memberships plus SO many weight control tips and recipes from internet, I’d finally changed but it wasn’t lasting and wasn’t the happy journey. Cause at the end of the day, I got bored.
I even had PT trained me at my condo. And yet again, I got bored. Lifted the same dumbbell, did the same position, listened to the same old words “you can do it, come on, lift it”. Result from that period? Yes, my body changed but it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Then I found NewMoves. After a trial and chat, then it was a “click”.
A click was just something new and fun.
A click was what clicked when they told me “you just need to eat right and some exercise and no need something too hardcore.” That was new.
